What a pretty cool weekend. Lisa and I were able to catch up with lots of folks this weekend at Cary and Jennifer’s birthday party at City Lounge. Chris, Shay, Liz, Holly, Jackie, John, Sarah, Kristin, Seth, the folks were some of the few in attendance. Lots of fun there plus the advantage of NON SMOKING! WooHoo! No more smelling like burned garbage when getting home. I love that a bar can do this BEFORE it is mandatory and also fill the place up. Too bad big government has to tell everyone to do this. There is no reason any bar should be forced to do this. Let business decide. Wait, we live in Wisconsin…we have to all listen to Jim “Bingo” Doyle so that means top bidders/and donators get the laws they want. Also many laws have been made behind closed doors with out the public knowing off too. Kind of like Chicago politics with better scenery. Oh well….I’ll stop that rant and get on to something more fun.
Hurling on Sunday was decent. It was game 3 of the season and man was there some downpour before we started. Lots of slipping and sliding. Very difficult to cut or stop quickly. All Tool Sales and Milwaukee Ale House had a heck of a match. I was back on full back all 4 periods and did my best and knocking some people around and defending. Ale House had some great forwards and got more in than we did. 0 and 3 stings a bit but we are pulling it together. We did a head count in the 4th and realized we were playing with a man down. That burned a bit but we kept up and even scored a few times still being a man down. Doug popped in 9 of the 16 points today too. Awesome work! The first 2 games we played ended in OT and we just ran out of steam at those. This one we ran our butts off but we were not the 1st to the ball and never got firing on all cylinders. I know soon that All Tool Sales will be a great power house. We just need one great game to get it going. One thing that helped today was that we finally received our Jerseys! Yup. Red and black. They look very slick.
